Cover Genius provides extended warranty protection for eligible SteelSeries products purchased in the United States. If you’ve already filed a claim or need help managing an existing one, this guide will walk you through what to expect and how to stay updated.
Please note: the Cover Genius Extended Warranty must be purchased along with your SteelSeries product — it cannot be added later.
Managing an Existing Claim
Once your claim has been submitted through the Cover Genius/XCover portal, you can track and manage everything directly in your XCover Account.
1. Log in to Your XCover Account
Go to the XCover website.
Log in using the same email you used when purchasing the extended warranty.
2. View Your Claim Status
Inside your account, you'll see:
Current status of your claim
Actions required (e.g., uploading documents, confirming details)
Messages from the Cover Genius team
History of past claims
3. Upload Any Requested Documents
If Cover Genius needs more information, you'll find the request directly in your portal. Common missing items include:
Proof of purchase
Photos or videos of the issue
Serial number confirmation
Troubleshooting details
You can upload everything directly through XCover.
4. Respond to Messages From Cover Genius
Your claim agent may contact you for clarifications — all messages and replies stay inside your XCover Account for easy tracking.
5. Review Your Outcome
Once reviewed, your claim will show one of the following:
Approval for repair or replacement
Reimbursement instructions (if applicable)
A request for additional information
You’ll also receive an email when the status changes to any of those states.
