Before checking the steps below, please make sure that the HDR function on your monitor is disabled. Moments is not compatible with HDR at this time and it being turned on might lead to unforseen issues.
System Requirements Check
Before troubleshooting, verify your system meets these minimum requirements:
Operating System:
- Windows 10/8.1 required

Hardware Requirements:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2xxx+ or AMD FX-4xxx+
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 960+, AMD Radeon HD 7870+, or Intel HD 4000+
- RAM: 8GB minimum
- Video RAM: 2GB minimum
- Storage: 500MB free space
- Internet: Broadband connection required

Please also make sure you do not have other clipping software enabled as well!
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Configure Moments Correctly
- Verify game detection:
- Open Moments Gallery
- Look for "Capturing [GAME]" status
- Check the SteelSeries icon in system tray for recording indicator
- Important: Select the game executable, not the launcher
- Verify capture hotkey:
- Default: Alt+S
- To customize: GG Settings > Moments > Shortcuts
- Test the hotkey while in-game
2. Essential Settings Adjustments
- Run as Administrator:
- Right-click GG
- Select "Run as administrator"
- Required for games with elevated permissions
- Disable Windows Game Mode:
- Open Windows Settings
- Navigate to Gaming > Game Mode
- Set toggle to "Off"
- Restart your computer
3. Driver Updates
- Update Graphics Drivers:
- NVIDIA: Use GeForce Experience
- AMD: Use Radeon Software
- Intel: Use Intel Driver & Support Assistant
- Restart your PC after updating
4. Important Notes
- Multi-monitor setups: Moments captures from primary monitor only
- Storage location: GG and game must be on the same drive
- After updates: Restart Moments through system tray
- Performance impact: Closing background apps can help
