Many of our SteelSeries gaming headsets feature an analog connection, which means that they connect to your gaming rig with a single 4-pole 3.5mm connector or two 3 pole 3.5 mm connectors. This allows you to connect your headset to devices with a headphone jack that may otherwise not support USB connections.
However, SteelSeries Engine is not compatible with 3.5mm headsets, and you will not be able to configure the device in the "Engine" tab in GG. This includes the following devices:
- Arctis 1 (Wired Models)
- Arctis 3 (All Models)
- Arctis Prime
- Tusq
If your headset is supported by Engine, please connect your headset via USB to configure the device. For more information, please read this article: USB product support for SSE.
Looking to customize your headset's EQ? There is good news! SteelSeries Sonar is currently available as Early Access software in GG. SteelSeries Sonar will give you access to Parametric EQ, Chatmix, Microphone effects, and Surround Sound for your device. For more information about Sonar and how to access the Early Access test, please see https://steelseries.com/gg/sonar.
