Hearing a constant hiss or white noise when using Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on your headset? The culprit is usually your Sidetone setting.
Sidetone is enabled by default so you can hear your own voice while speaking. As this feature feeds raw microphone audio directly to your ears (bypassing software processing), it easily picks up ambient room noise, which sounds exactly like static or a white noise hiss.
You can disable Sidetone as follows:
Open your headset settings with ENGINE in SteelSeries GG
Turn Sidetone completely off.
Test your ANC again.
