That red banner usually means your Windows default audio output is set to a different device instead of SteelSeries Sonar Gaming.
How do I fix the red banner?
You have two ways to get things back on track:
- Click the red banner in Sonar
Sonar should automatically set the correct default audio device for you. - Set it manually in Windows
- Open Windows Settings → System → Sound.
- Under Output, select SteelSeries Sonar – Gaming.
Can I use another device as my Windows default audio source with Sonar?
Not currently. Sonar needs SteelSeries Sonar Gaming selected as the Windows default output device to work correctly.
