๐ฎ Can I Use a Keyboard on My Console or Handheld?
TL;DR: It depends!
Most modern platforms โ including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2) โ do support keyboards... but mostly for text input, menus, and non-gaming apps.
๐ฉ Xbox: Plug in and go. More info:

๐ฅ PlayStation: Plug in your device, then head to Settings > Devices to tweak things.
๐ฅ Nintendo Switch / Switch 2: No keyboard settings menu, but yes โ itโll work for text input when needed.
๐ป Steam Deck: Full keyboard and mouse support โ itโs basically a mini PC. Use Desktop Mode or pair via USB-C/Bluetooth. Custom configs and macros? Go wild.
๐ ๏ธ Can I Use My Custom Key Config?
Yep โ if your keyboard supports onboard profiles, these will carry over:
โ Keypress Bindings
โ Mouse Button Bindings
โ Macros? Nope. Most consoles wonโt recognize them โ they donโt save to the device.
๐ฎ Will It Work in My Game?
Thatโs up to the game devs. Some titles allow keyboard/mouse on console โ others completely block it. You'll need to check the gameโs official FAQ or forums to confirm.
โ ๏ธ Heads-up: If your game does support it, matchmaking might toss you into lobbies with other KBM players to keep things fair. Respect the devsโ rules โ no one likes a cheater.
