You can use the Arctis 7 with Nintendo Switch and mobile devices using a wired connection. The Switch also supports wireless audio in docked mode. Follow the steps below based on how you’re playing.
To get started, you'll need the following:
Arctis 7 headset
-
3.5 mm audio cable (included)

Optional: USB Wireless Transmitter (for docked Switch use)
Option 1 - Wired setup (Switch & mobile)
This is the simplest and most reliable method.
- Plug the 3.5 mm cable into the headset.
- Plug the other end into your Nintendo Switch (tablet/handheld mode), or Your mobile device.
- Start your game, video, or call. You should immediately hear audio through the headset.
The headset does not need to be powered on when using the 3.5 mm cable and it is an expected behavior for the headset to automatically turn off once the 3.5mm cable is plugged in. Microphone support depends on the app and device you’re using.
Option 2 - Wireless setup (Nintendo Switch docked mode only)
You can use Arctis 7 wirelessly when the Switch is docked.
- Place the Switch in the dock.
- Plug the USB Wireless Transmitter into a USB port on the dock.
- Power on the Arctis 7 by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds.
- Wait a few seconds for the headset to connect.
If the headset does not connect wirelessly
The headset may need to be re-paired with the transmitter.
