Once you know which source talks to which output, the Arctis Pro Wireless base station becomes a powerful little audio hub. Swap modes depending on whether you’re gaming, charging, or running external audio gear, and you’re golden!
Line In (Aux) – Headset ON 🎮
This setup is perfect when you want to hear audio from an external device directly through your headset.
The headset must be turned ON
Audio from Line In will play through the headset
The transmitter needs to be set to AUX as the source
Think of this as “plug something in, hear it instantly in your headset.” Clean and simple.
Line Out – Headset OFF 🔊
This mode is designed for passing PC audio through to external speakers or another audio device.
The headset must be turned OFF
Audio from USB (PC source) passes through to Line Out
The transmitter must be set to PC
Great for when your headset is charging, and you want sound coming from speakers instead.
Line In + Line Out – Headset OFF ⚠️
This setup can be a little tricky, so this part is important. The headset must be turned OFF
USB (PC audio) will pass through to Line Out
Line In audio will NOT transfer
Why? Line In only works when the transmitter is set to AUX, while Line Out only outputs USB audio from the PC source. These two modes don’t overlap. In other words: You can’t pass Line In audio through Line Out at the same time. The base station has to pick a lane 🛣️
