Setting up your Arctis Pro Wireless on PlayStation is quick once the base station is connected correctly. Follow the instructions below based on your PS4 model.

🎮 PS4 / PS4 Pro Setup

The PS4 and PS4 Pro both include an optical audio port, which allows you to use full surround sound and ChatMix.

  1. Connect the mini-USB cable from the Wireless Transmitter to a USB port on the front of the PS4.
  2. Connect the Optical Audio Cable from the Wireless Transmitter to the Optical OUT port on the back of the PS4.
  3. On the Wireless Transmitter use the wheel and navigate to→ Source → PS4
  4. Go to: Settings → Sound and Screen → Audio Output Settings and configure the PS4 Audio Settings:
  • Primary Output Port → Digital Out (Optical)
  • Audio Format (Priority) → Bitstream (Dolby)
  • Settings → Devices → Audio Devices
  • Output to Headphones → Chat Audio

🎮 PS4 Slim Setup

The PS4 Slim does not include an optical output, so setup depends on whether your TV has an optical port.

Option 1 - Using Optical Audio (Recommended)

If your TV has an optical audio output, you can still use surround sound and ChatMix.

  1. Connect HDMI from the PS4 Slim to the TV.
  2. Connect the Optical Cable from the Wireless Transmitter to the optical output on your TV.
  3. Connect the USB cable from the Wireless Transmitter to the PS4 Slim.
  4. On the Wireless Transmitter use the wheel and navigate to→ Source → PS4
  5. Go to: Settings → Sound and Screen → Audio Output Settings and configure the PS4 Audio Settings:
  • Primary Output Port → Digital Out (Optical)
  • Audio Format (Priority) → Bitstream (Dolby)
  • Settings → Devices → Audio Devices
  • Output to Headphones → Chat Audio

Option 2 - USB Only (No Optical)

If neither your TV nor monitor has optical audio, you can connect using USB only.

  1. Connect the USB cable from the Wireless Transmitter to the PS4 Slim.
  2. On the Wireless Transmitter use the wheel and navigate to→ Source → PS4
  3. On PS4, go to: Settings → Devices → Audio Devices:
  • Output to Headphones → Chat Audio

⚠️ Important - When using USB only Surround Sound and ChatMix will not be available. This setup provides basic stereo audio only.

For PS4/PS4 Pro - Small correction: 1:02 of the video, we incorrectly display the cable being plugged into the Optical Out port, but the cable should actually be plugged into the Optical IN.
