Good news - the Arctis Pro Wireless does work with Xbox One. The catch? Xbox doesn’t support standard USB audio, so voice chat needs a slightly different setup. No worries - follow the steps below and you’ll be fully locked in.
🔊 Game Audio Setup (Optical)
- Connect the optical (S/PDIF) cable from your Xbox One to the Base Station - This delivers full game audio, including surround sound.
- On your Xbox, go to: Settings -> Display & sound -> Audio output
- Set the following options:
Optical audio: Bitstream out
-
Bitstream format: Dolby Digital
- On the Base Station, select: Input -> PS4
Why PS4 mode? The Arctis Pro Wireless is not natively compatible with Xbox USB audio. Selecting PS4 mode on the GameDAC is a workaround that allows the headset to operate in a non-USB audio configuration
🎤 Chat Setup (Xbox App)
Since USB chat isn’t supported directly on Xbox, chat is handled through the Xbox Companion App.
- Plug the USB cable from the Base Station into: Your Xbox One or A nearby PC (recommended if you already use a PC for chat)
- Install the Xbox Companion App on a Bluetooth compatible device (Windows PC, Mobile)
- Power on the headset
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 6 seconds - The blue LED will blink rapidly
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone or PC
- Select Arctis Pro Wireless
