The way you setup your device in Sonar will affect the ChatMix feature. In this case you have the two options: Option 1: use Sonar ChatMix through Sonar’s interface
or
Option 2: use ChatMix through your headset on-device wheel or GameDAC
Option 1: Use ChatMix through Sonar:
Step 1: In the Mixer tab, select your preferred headset as the playback device in the Game and Chat widgets. Both the Game and Chat playback devices must be the same in order to use Sonar ChatMix feature, we suggest to use Game endpoint for both.
Option 2: you want to use ChatMix through your headset on-device wheel or GameDAC
Step 1: In the Mixer tab, select the game endpoint of your preferred headset as the playback device in the Game widget
Step 2: In the Mixer tab, select the chat endpoint of your preferred headset as the playback device in the Chat widget
Step 3: Set the Microphone Input device as the headset’s Microphone input.
Note: The Arctis 7P+ does not have a chatmix wheel on the headset.

Arctis 7+:
Once the Arctis 7+ has been setup as the playback device for both Gaming and Chat, you will be able to control the Chatmix directly from the Chatmix wheel on your Arctis 7+ headset.
Arctis 7P+:
Once the Arctis 7+ has been setup as the playback device for both Gaming and Chat, you will be able to control the Chatmix using the Chatmix Slider within Sonar. Note: The Arctis 7P+ does not have a chatmix wheel on the headset.
How do I enable the ChatMix on my Non-SteelSeries device?
Open GG-> go to Sonar (login required) -> In the Mixer tab select your audio device as output device for both Gaming and Chat. Now you will be able to control the ChatMix from Sonar UI.
I have set the output on different devices for Gaming and Chat and the ChatMix doesn’t work on my headset

Can I use chatmix on console?
The only headset and console that offer chatmix though the console and headset would be Xbox. On PlayStation 5 you will need to use the internal one built in to the PlayStation settings.
