When enabling Sonar, it’s important to check the default audio and target devices are correctly setup. Also make sure, the windows audo setting is set to Sonar Game before doing any testing.
Once you have correctly setup Sonar you can test the audio effects in real-time directly on the game/music/audio content you are playing or use one of the audio samples available in-app:
In the Game tab
Just pick a test sample, hit play, and listen in real-time to see how the presets, Equalizer, and other audio effects affect the sound. Keep making adjustments until it sounds exactly how you want it to.
Note: using the Spatial Audio, we strongly advise to use the dedicated test sample.
In the Chat tab
Simply select a test sample, click on play, and listen in real-time to observe the impact of the presets, Equalizer, and other audio effects on the sound. Continuously make adjustments until the desired sound is achieved.
In the Media/Aux Tab
All you need to do is pick one of the test samples and hit play to listen to them. While they're playing, you can hear how the presets, Equalizer and other audio effects sound in real time. Just keep adjusting until you find your perfect sound!
In the Mic tab
All you gotta do is record your voice using the mic test record function. Just hit the record button to start and the stop button to finish. Then, click play to listen back to what you recorded. You can hear how different presets, Equalizer, and other effects sound in real time. Keep adjusting until you find the sound you like best.
