If your microphone isn’t working or audio is only coming through one ear, the headset cable may be connected in the wrong direction.
The Arctis Nova Pro uses a 5-pole to 4-pole cable, and the direction matters.
Why this happens
The included headset cable has:
One straight connector (5 conductors / 5-pole)
One angled/kinked connector (4 conductors / 4-pole)
If these are reversed:
Your mic may not work
Audio may only play from one side
Sound may cut in and out
How to connect the cable correctly
Step 1
Plug the straight 5-pole end into the headset.
Step 2
Plug the angled/kinked 4-pole end into the GameDAC.
Step 3
Fully push both ends in until you feel a secure connection.
You should now have:
Working microphone
Audio in both ears
