🔊 An audio limiter's main gig is to keep your sound under control by putting a cap on those audio signals at a certain level—what we call the 'limit' or 'threshold.' This way, you can avoid annoying issues like clipping, distortion, or even blowing out your headset when things get super loud or wild during intense gameplay. 🎮 So, no worries about ear-shattering explosions 💥—your limiter’s got your back!!
To enable the audio limiter on your headset:
- Make sure your headset is connected to the app.
- Go to the device settings.
- Locate the Limiter settings card.
- Tap the toggle to turn it on and off.
Important Notice:
- Please note that SteelSeries does not recommend disabling or bypassing the volume‑limit feature. That cap is there to help protect your hearing over time and to keep our products within required safety standards globally.
- If you choose to turn off, override, or otherwise remove this recommended volume limit, you’re doing it at your own risk. In other words: if you decide to crank things past the suggested levels, you’re taking full responsibility for whatever happens next – including, but not limited to, potential hearing damage, personal injury, or other issues related to long sessions at high volume.
- Think of it like going past the redline in a game: you can do it, but you’re knowingly pushing beyond the safe zone and owning the consequences.
