This may sound very basic, but let's check the direction of the cord on your Nova 1 to make sure it is connected properly for all functions to work. The 5-conductor plug needs to be inserted into the headset.
The end with the nub around (highlighted in blue) has to be connected to your desired device (PC, console, phone)
The 5-conductor end (highlighted in green) has to be connected to the headset.
Once connected, please check the following:
On PC:
- Make sure that the default Windows audio drivers are selected as your input/output device.
- Check your privacy settings and allow Windows access to your microphone.
- If you're using Sonar, make sure to select the right device. Since Nova 1 is an analog headset, it will be detected as a Realtek device. If your computer has more than one analog device connected, you may see more than 1 on the list.
On consoles:
Go to settings and make sure you have the correct input device selected.
