The Arena 9's rear speakers are wireless for audio, meaning they connect wirelessly to the subwoofer, so you do not need to run speaker cables from the front of the room to the back.
However, they are not completely cable-free. The two rear speakers are linked together by a power cable, with one power adapter supplying both speakers. This means you'll need a nearby outlet, and the maximum distance between the rear speakers is limited by the included power cable.
So, while you don't have to run a long cable across the room from the subwoofer, you'll still need:
- One wall outlet near the rear speakers.
- The included cable connecting the left and right rear speakers together for power.
