Your Arctis Nova 7 may require a firmware update during initial setup. We recommend checking for updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Firmware updates are installed through SteelSeries GG on PC or Mac.
How to check for a firmware update
Step 1
Download and install the latest version of SteelSeries GG from steelseries.com/gg.
Step 2
Connect your Arctis Nova to your PC or Mac using the included USB cable or wireless dongle.
Step 3
Open GG, then go to Engine.
Step 4
If a firmware update is available, you will see a “Critical Update” notification.
Step 5
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Do not disconnect the headset during the update process.
What to expect
The update may take several minutes.
Your headset may restart during the process.
Once complete, GG will confirm the firmware is up to date.
Important
Firmware updates can only be performed on a PC or a Mac.
Keeping firmware up to date ensures the best performance and compatibility with supported platforms.
If the update does not appear
Make sure you are using the latest version of SteelSeries GG.
Try reconnecting the headset or wireless dongle.
Restart your computer and reopen GG.
