🎮 Can I Swap Out My Keycaps?
Absolutely — if your keyboard supports it, you're free to customize your setup and make it uniquely yours. Whether you're going for clean replacements, RGB-dripping PrismCaps, or some spicy third-party caps, you're good to go.
🛠️ These SteelSeries keyboards use Cherry MX-style stems, which means they play nice with most aftermarket keycaps:
Apex 5
Apex 7 / Apex 7 TKL
Apex 9 TKL / Apex 9 Mini
Apex Pro / Apex Pro TKL (Wired + Wireless)
Apex Pro Mini (Wired + Wireless)
⚠️ Heads-up: The Apex Pro’s OmniPoint switches have a unique shape. Some third-party keycaps might not fit perfectly or could block a bit of that RGB glow thanks to the LED placement. Just something to watch for.
🔧 How to Swap Keycaps Like a Pro:
Use a keycap puller — trust us, your switches will thank you.
Pull straight up — no twisting or yanking.
Avoid using bare hands unless you want to risk damaging the stems (or your fingers).
🚫 Apex 3 Players, Take Note:
This board uses proprietary keycaps that can’t be swapped. If you're looking to customize, you might wanna upgrade to one of the swappable models above.
