Arctis 9 and Arctis 9X are designed for different platforms. They are not interchangeable.

Not supported on:
Xbox consoles
The Arctis 9 connects using a USB wireless transmitter (dongle).
Arctis 9X
Designed for:
Xbox Series X|S
Xbox One
It uses integrated Xbox Wireless, which means:
No USB dongle required
No cables required
Connects directly to the Xbox like a controller
Important Compatibility Notes
The Arctis 9X does not use the Arctis 9 USB transmitter.
Using the Arctis 9 dongle with an Arctis 9X will not work.
Arctis 9 does not have built-in Xbox Wireless.
Bluetooth (Both Models)
Both Arctis 9 and Arctis 9X include Bluetooth, allowing:
Dual wireless connection
Connection to a second device (phone, tablet, etc.) while gaming
