I hear you—dealing with sidetone can be a real game-breaker. But don’t worry, we’ve got your back! You can easily turn it off in the Engine section of the GG app.
If you’re rocking an Arctis Pro Wireless or Nova Pro Wireless, you can tweak this setting directly on the base station for quick access.
Now, let’s get you back in the game by disabling that sidetone in Engine:
- Fire up GG and head to the Engine section—look for the red-marked icon on the left.

- You’ll see a list of your connected SteelSeries gear—select your headset (e.g., Nova 5 Wireless).

Once inside, you’ll see two tabs: Audio and Settings. Click on Audio—that’s where the magic happens.

Scroll down to find MIC SIDETONE (marked in red).
If you want zero distractions, crank it all the way down to OFF.
Want just a hint of your surroundings? Set it to 1—you’ll still have ambient awareness without ruining your immersion.
⚠️ Pro tip: Don't forget to hit "Save" in the top-right corner before you exit!
That's it! Now, you are ready to game!
