The Nintendo Switch has two main play modes: console mode when docked, and mobile when the screen is removed from the dock. When in mobile mode the only audio connectivity is via the Switch's 3.5mm headset jack, which means that wireless headsets cannot be used.
Note: All Arctis headsets, as well as Siberia 800 & 840, can be used with the Switch in mobile mode for game audio only. They must be connected via the supplied 3.5mm cable.
In docked console mode, there are three SteelSeries headsets that can be used wirelessly (game audio only):
- Arctis 7
- Siberia 800
- Siberia 840
Arctis 7 -
- Plug the Arctis 7 transmitter's USB cable into the Switch dock. This powers the transmitter.
- Take a standard 3.5mm 3-pole cable (not included) and connect it from the Switch headset jack (on the Switch itself, not the dock) to the Arctis 7 transmitter's Line In jack.
- Power on the headset, and you have wireless audio with volume control!
Siberia 800 & 840 -
- Connect the power cable from the Siberia 800/840 DC jack to the wall power adapter.
- Connect the included 3.5mm Analog Cable from the Switch headset jack (on the Switch itself, not the dock) to the transmitter's Analog In jack.
- On the transmitter's menu create a new source: OPTIONS > SOURCES > ADD > AUX IN > ANALOG IN
- Power on the headset, and you have wireless audio with volume control!
