The 3.5 mm audio jack lets you connect your Arctis Nova headset directly to a compatible device using a 5-pole to 4-pole 3.5 mm audio cable.
Once connected, your Nova works like a standard wired headset - no wireless connection or battery power required.
You can connect it to devices such as:
- Controllers with a headset port
- PCs or laptops with a combined audio jack
- Phones, tablets, and other devices with a compatible 3.5 mm port
PCs with separate headphone and microphone ports will require a dual 3.5mm splitter cable.
All wireless Nova headsets come with an included 3.5mm cable. The cable is 4-pole to 5-pole - please make sure that the 5-pole end is connected to the headset and not the other way around! To quickly determine which one is which - the 5-pole end has more rings than the 4-pole end.
Can I use the 3.5 mm and wireless connections at the same time?
Nope! Connecting a 3.5 mm cable automatically powers off the headset as a battery-saving feature, disabling its wireless connections. To return to wireless mode, unplug the 3.5 mm cable and power the headset back on. Think of it as switching loadouts - wired or wireless, one at a time.
