Yes, chatmix will work straight out of the box when connected to Xbox.
Now for PC it does take a bit of time to set up but yes you can use chatmix on the Nova 7X. You'd just need to set up the headset via Sonar. Here is a video to help you out setting up Sonar for chatmix!
